Grew up on Malta exploring the wonders of island life. Warmed by the sun-drenched rock, suffocated by the fragrance and color of the plants, fascinated by the variety and industry of the reptiles, insects, birds, and fishes. At peace only when near or on or under the water; mesmerized by its life force and movement and reflective power.

Pouring, scraping, painting and dropping acrylic - mixed with shredded paper, gold leaf and things collected in nature - onto canvas (some reclaimed), discarded wood, cardboard headed for recycling, and found bits of glass, sticks and stones. Lost in the process, and intrigued by what emerges without thought, purpose or distraction.

Walking in the outdoors I see patterns and shapes everywhere, and my subconscious lens creates the blueprints for my work - celebrating all things alive, inanimate and transitory - hopefully promoting renewal, recovery and regeneration of the planet, the trees, and all living creatures to restore nature's abundant beauty and balance.
